About bizhq
bizhq is a small company in Irvine, CA. We build free websites for local businesses, because too many good businesses have no website at all, or one that is hard to find and hard to change.
Why free
A business shouldn't have to choose between paying a stranger a few hundred dollars and spending a weekend learning a website builder. So the site is free, and you edit it yourself from your phone. Some owners later want more, like their own .com or professional email, and we offer that as an optional upgrade. Nobody has to buy anything.
What we promise
- Free means free. No credit card, no trial that quietly turns into a bill, no hosting fee.
- Your site is yours. The words and photos belong to you. You can download the whole website from the editor at any time, and unpublish whenever you like.
- If we ever close. Your free site has no end date. If bizhq ever shuts down, we'll email you at least 90 days before, and you can download your whole website to host anywhere.
- No invented proof. The sample sites you see here are labeled as samples, and their names, reviews and photos are made up or stock. We never put invented reviews, customer counts or awards on your site.
- Straight answers. When we compare bizhq with other website builders, we say where we're a good fit and where we aren't.
