Canva vs bizhq for a local business
Canva can publish a website for free on a Canva address, with a "Designed with Canva" footer. Using your own domain and removing the footer need a paid plan: Canva Pro is listed at US$144 a year.

What Canva does well
- If you already design flyers and social posts in Canva, the website uses the same editor and the same Brand Kit.
- Publish settings include password protection and search engine visibility, and you can edit a live site and republish.
- Canva Pro, Teams, Business and Education users can connect up to five existing domains and publish unlimited websites on them.
Where Canva is harder for a local business
- Free sites carry the "Designed with Canva" footer, and Canva says removing it needs Canva Pro.
- Connecting your own domain is not available on Canva Free. Canva lists it for Pro, Teams, Business and Education.
- Mobile website (Link in Bio) templates publish only to a canva.link address and can't use a custom domain.
- Canva is a general design tool, so you choose and lay out every page yourself.
Where bizhq is the weaker choice
- Your address is yourname.bizhq.page. You can't use your own .com on the free plan.
- A site has 3 to 5 fixed pages. There is no blog.
- No online store or payments, and no booking calendar on the site itself. The Book button opens the booking app you already use.
- Visitor stats are simple counts of visits and button taps, not a full analytics tool.
- One site per account.
Which should you pick?
Pick Canva if you already use Canva, want full control over how each page looks, and are fine with the footer on a free site or with paying $144 a year for Canva Pro.
Pick bizhq if you want a small business site started for you from four questions, with call and text buttons and a contact form ready, and you'd rather not design pages yourself.
